UNITED METHODIST CAMPS OF NEW JERSEY / 2008 SUMMER CAMP information is available in the narthex, gathering area, and the church office.
VBS GOD’S BIG BACKYARD – JULY 21-25^TH, 2008 – 9:00am – Noon.
Our program will be fun and exciting, and have a strong focus on Service – to God, our neighbors, our families and the world! 
DONATIONS NEEDED: 
FOR CRAFTS:  We need a lot of:  recycled CDs/disks & Craft Foam Paper—We could also use felt sheets; stickers; index cards; shoe boxes; (but no more water bottles, thank you!);

FOR SNACKS: a monetary donation, if your Circle or church group could contribute, please contact Karyn @ 645-2712;

FOR DECORATIONS: we could use any outdoor item, inc. chairs, picnic stuff, backyard toys, outdoor stuff, etc.

WANT TO HELP?  Join us every Wednesday at 3:00pm to paint and make our decorations for VBS in Classroom #4. Volunteers are always needed!  Join us – it’s fun!

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS…Summer Sunday School ( Church School ) began June 22^nd and continues through August 31st for ages 3 yr. – 3rd Grade.

THANK YOU…Pastor VanSciver would like to thank everyone who sponsored him in “The Walk for the Ages” benefiting The Fellowship Fund of the Methodist Homes.  Wesley Manor residents gave over $1,000.00 and Central Church members contributed $436.00.

THE CENTRAL BOOK CLUB is reading Hershey by Michael D’Antonio.  Join us July 26th at 10:00am at the home of Jan Bush for a lively discussion.  Pack a sandwich.  Dessert and beverages will be provided.  RSVP.

THE 2008 EPISCOPAL ADDRESS by Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar is available in the church office and narthex.

FRIENDS CENTRAL CEMETERY has 6 new grave lots available to members of Central Methodist at $600.00 per lot.  If interested, please call Bill Meade.

SOUTH JERSEY AREA WIND ENSEMBLE…will be performing “A Concert in the Park” on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 3:00pm at the Linwood-All Wars Memorial Park .  Bring a chair…admission is free!

ADDENDUM TO 2005 CUMC DIRECTORY is available in the Narthex and the Gathering Area.

2008 FLOWER CHART is located in the narthex.   Flowers may be placed on the chancel in honor of, or in memory of, special people in your life.  Cost is $50.00. 

COFFEE HOUR – The “Lay Ministry Team” sponsors Coffee Hour in June.  Members of the congregation whose last names begin with “I, J & K” are asked to bring finger foods and help with light refreshments.  The “Trustee Team” sponsors Coffee Hour in July.  Members of the congregation whose last names begin with “L” are asked to bring finger foods and help with light refreshments.
