The purpose of the Atlantic City Urban Partnership as a coalition of United Methodist Churches of the Southeast District working together with United Methodist congregations in Atlantic City is to strengthen our witness for Jesus Christ on behalf of the Church.
 
        Specifically, partnership congregations will provide financial and volunteer support for ministries of the United Methodist Church in the city.
 
        The focus for our first year will be:

• The Bishop's initiative on children and poverty.
• The opening of the partnership center in Atlantic City.
• The strengthening of our Hispanic ministry in Atlantic City.
• The employment of a church/community outreach worker in Atlantic City on behalf of the Urban Partnership Ministry.
